These six nature art prompts encourage artists of all ages to finish the ink drawings of birds with natural materials. Collaborate with nature and create gorgeous pictures!
Making collaborative art is always an enriching experience. And this pack invites artists of all ages to participate in a DOUBLE collaboration. First, it is a collaboration with us, the creators of the prompts. Second, it is a collaboration with nature. Nature offers a great variety of textures and colours, and it is great fun to use them!
This nature activity focuses on creativity and exploring a new techniques rather than creating life-like representations of particular bird species. The birds in this pack are a flamingo, a hummingbird, a parrot, a peafowl, a rooster, and a sparrow, but you can finish them to look like whatever you want!
How to Make Nature Art
Go outside and collect natural materials—leaves of different shapes and colours, flowers and petals, sticks, seeds, etc.
Besides natural materials, you might need scissors for trimming leaves and petals into shapes and glue if you want the pieces to hold better.
Using glue isn’t necessary. This kind of art has a transitory nature, unless you decide to use pressed and dried flowers and leaves, in which case, it can be framed and kept for a considerable length of time.
If you’d like to preserve your work, you can also take a picture and display it as a photograph.

Here is how I made a flamingo, from the lilacs that just bloomed in our yard, and a hummingbird, from a couple of iris leaves, some fern, and a red flower petal.
