Moving into a new house was certainly an adventure, whether finding our way through the labyrinth of unpacked things or discovering that our bedroom was a nice spot for watching sunsets. You get lots of those in the land of living skies Saskatchewan! Our son also found a new pastime – he became fascinated with cardboard boxes: climbing onto them, hiding in them, stacking them and building spaceships, shuttles and droids (this is our current theme!).
That looked like so much fun that one evening we couldn’t resist the temptation any longer. We decided to see what kind of spaceship we could build if the whole family joined forces! Fortunately, we had plenty of empty cardboard boxes to experiment with.
The truth is, you only need three small cardboard boxes, so you don’t have to wait for a move to build your own spaceship. More instructions are available over at CBC Parents!
Now that all the boxes are unpacked, we hope to get back to our crafting routine.
