Add even more glow to your Christmas tree with these elegant paper lantern ornaments that have an LED light inside and can be turned on and off! They come with a printable template to make this craft as easy as possible.
Lights sure make a Christmas tree come to life. There was a year when our son was a toddler when we had hardly anything but the lights on our Christmas tree because he kept taking all the other toys off. It didn’t look that bad either! He is a big boy now though, and we like putting lots of decorations on, including a few new handmade ornaments every year. This year, I wanted to add some glowing paper lanterns, customized with little designs. The trick was, how to make sure that they can be easily turned off at night?

Tutorial for Making Paper Lantern Ornaments
Watch the video in this post or follow the steps below!

2 – Cut at solid lines and fold at dotted lines.
3 – Glue the lanterns together with a glue stick and let them dry.
4 – Put a string through the hole on the top and tie it up.
5 – Put an LED tea light inside. The circle cutout at the bottom of the lantern will allow you to turn the lantern on and off without removing the tea light.
