We like working with wood! When we started this blog, we were making wooden toys for our son, but it has been several years, and now he is making wooden toys for his little sister. We have a small workshop set up in our backyard for sawing, drilling and sanding, but sometimes it is nice to just work at our craft table. Making toys, arts and crafts with wooden sticks is a very accessible way to start woodworking with children. Glue them together for making doll furniture, make puppets or robotic arms… They’re really versatile and fun to build with!
